I cut this run short to be able to hopefully put a little more effort in to tomorrow's speed work (in the form of a 10k). My knees are hurting quite a bit with PFS, and I may try eliminating the Inov-8 shoes from my rotation for a week or so and see if that helps.

Dave,

You didn't really take much time off after the marathon.

Will see you tomorrow...good luck!

Yeah, I rather wish I'd taken a week off now. I just have so little time to get ready for my next race I felt I needed to get after it.

I looked at my running log from last fall/winter when I ran NYCM then 5 weeks later ran a PR at CIM. Even then I took most of the first week after NYCM off!

Ah well, how do we know what we can achieve if we don't push our boundaries...

See you tomorrow - I'll probably be wearing my Newport shirt (just to show everyone my excuse for being slow :) ).

I'll be interested to hear if you feel better by not using the Inov-8 shoes. I've been hearing so many people sing their praises, I've been thinking about getting some myself.

I love the shoes and will probably cry if they turn out to be the culprit! I have been susceptible to PFS for years though.
