I ran the Rattlesnake Ridge trail with Brendan today. Brendan set a pretty fast pace from the lake up to East Peak, but he doesn't like downhills so from there it was much slower than I like. I'm definitely not fully recovered from last week's marathon though!

Rattlesnake Ridge sounds scary.

I guess it takes more than a week to recovery from a marathon, even for fast guys like you.

I think the name relates to the sound some of the native vegetation makes in the wind - we have no rattlesnakes on this side of the state!

I don't feel so bad about still being a bit beat up from the marathon if you are still feeling it too...

When is your ultra trail run?

Hi Jeff, yeah - the legs just weren't feeling too fresh on the 4.5 mile climb from the lake to East Peak!

The SOB (Siskiyou Out & Back) is July 10, but there's some concern about how much snow is still on the course. :(
