My first 'ultra' is in the history books. I thought the 50k would be easier than it turned out to be. Imagine that! The heat (80* or so) and especially the elevation (started at 6500') reduced me to walking some of the hills in the last 8 miles. I'd hoped to turn a 4:30 or less but ended up with 4:47. That was worth 13th overall and 4th in AG though.

Thanks! I may some day even do another :)

Next time though I will have to do much more training including lots of back-to-back long runs. I don't want to have to walk again.
